First of all, I do not work for RMR like this one post suggests.
I bought my first RMR radar/Jammer about 6 years ago. I have always had some what of a heavy foot. Ever since I have been using it, I have never been pulled over for speeding.
I live in the Fort knox, KY area and there are a lot of unmarked cops that try to get ya. I have had the same unmarked pull me over, after flying by him, doing well over 15 to 20mph over the posted speed limit. First thing the cop did was looked in the window to see what kind of radar I was using. Then he proceeded to give me a ticket because one of my headlights were out. Actually made me go to court with the receipt to show that I had fixed the light. What an azz.
There should have been many times that I should have received a citation for speeding. Biggest one was going down the interstate and around a curve that had a hill. The speed limit was 65 and I was doing close to a 100 when I popped over the hill. I thought I was done when I seen the cop. He was standing outside of his car with a radar gun pointed right at me. I let off the gas and heard the radar detector go nuts. It was going through all the channels. By the time I was passing the cop, I was still doing 15 over but didn’t hit the brakes. The cop never got into his car to get me. Talk about someone’s buthole puckering up, lol.
Bottom line, I trust it. If I switch cars with the wife, I switch detectors. I just ordered my next one for the wifes car so I won’t have to switch them all the time.

Great product. The old model was great but this is an upgrade. It notifies of potential issues very timely.
I have been using this detector for several months and so far it has been performing really well, I do not know if the scrambler part works but it does detect very good, especially on the highway.
I just drove round trip, 2400 miles from Ft. Myers to the Chicago area and had no problems at all. The machine went nuts through Georgia, like usual. It detected everything just fine and I was going close to 90 the whole way. Had some slow downs in the beginning of Georgia, but it was smooth sailing otherwise. I’m not here to get into a pissing match with Tom A., however I like the RMR c475 and I think it’s a wonderful radar detector. I’m not an employee of, a friend of, or a seller of RMR products. I’m an airline employee who drove my family to visit relatives for Christmas. I am going to say that I do believe the scrambler does work. I was in a construction zone in GA, of course, and my detector started to go off. I looked ahead and saw a portable radar unit on the side of the road. It didn’t register my speed until I was directly on it. This happened 3 times while driving up. Driving back I was never by myself on the road to have it register me. I have always been skeptical about the scrambling ability of Rocky Mountain products and really still am, however it is a really good radar detector. It does detect far enough in advance to slow down. Believe or not to believe it’s your own choice. I’m just writing an honest review of my driving experience.

There was a problem with this device the 2nd day I used it.
Amazon was the seller and I went into the screen to have a replacement sent.
The new dectector was here overnight and has not had a problem at all.
I have gone past many stationary radar machines and yes the scrambler does work and work well. They always display 0 when I go by.
Not sure why the negitive reviews unless they are disgruntled employees or more likely the ones NOT FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS. If you go 15mph over the thing won’t work. Also for the first year Rocky Mountain pays your tickets. Yea ok they can’t get rid of the points but paying the ticket pretty much says they will stand behind their products.
I work for a British Company that has no ties to radar detectors or scrambler devices what-so-ever so this is not a bias’d review.
This is a great device and works very well. Rocky Mountain Radar makes a very good product.
