this cable does what it says: allows you to connect plantronics hands-free headset to 2.5mm jacks.
it works, but i think the price is way too high, thus the 2 stars.

Radar detectors are electronic devices designed to detect radio waves. Radar detectors detect radio signals across a range of wavelengths ---X, K, Ka and Ku. Radar detectors are used for a variety of purposes across the world. Radar detectors help alert motorists regarding speed traps and radar guns. Radar detectors are also used in tracking, fishing, and exploration.

When buying a radar detector consider:

1. What you are going to use it for? State of the art radar detectors are expensive so you would need to have a clear idea of what you would like to spend.

2. Think about whether you are going to install the radar detector yourself or are you going to have it professionally installed.

3. It is important to choose a radar detector manufactured by a well known electronics company and a radar that can detect a wide range: Ka, K, X, and so on.

4. Try and get a radar detection Top 10 Radar Detectors unit that has a minimum of 100db. Ideally a unit with a memory function is desirable. The more sensitive a radar unit is the more beneficial it will be.

5. Look for a radar unit with a clear display that can be seen at night. Find one that has an adjustable volume as well as mute option.

6. Ask for a long range detector with high sensitivity.

7. Find out what the technical specifications are as well as the pros and cons of the radar detector.

8. Try and get a radar detector model that has a city/ highway mode. This will limit false alarms greatly.

9. Look for radar detectors with extra features like Vg-2 Alert and Vg-2 Non-detection. These features are valuable in states where using radar detectors is illegal.

10. Ask whether the detector has a voice feature this will ensure that the driver is not disturbed.

Radar detectors retail between USD 100-200 . choose a well known brand like BEL, Escort, K40, or Valentine One. They manufacture radar detectors using updated technologies and take market competition seriously.

Radar detectors can be bought retail or online. Online sites sell the best radar detectors at the most affordable rates. You can mount radar detector on the windshield, dash, or visor. If you want a radar detector custom mounted you will have to spend over a 1000 dollars. Experts recommend an easy to remove mounting system so that you can use the same radar detector in different cars.

Take the advice of experts on the best detector to buy and its placement. Electronics are being constantly upgraded so find out aspects like the frequency in your area and the kind of speed detectors that are in use by the police before making a purchase.

I have a northern telecom key system which has 3 jacks on the phone – one for the line, one for the handset, and a 3rd for the HEADSET (same size jack as the handset).

(UPDATE 11/2009) – having used this to hook my normally very loud headset to my northern telcom phone system I finally went out and bought the amplifier Plantronics M22 Amplifier – there were 2 reasons for this. Although I could adjust my hearing volume on the phone set, people could not hear me as well on the headset as with the phone’s normal handset, which is backwards of the way it should be. The amplifier has an adjustment for the microphone gain which affects how loud you are to the person on the other end. Second, by switching off the headset at the amplifier I regained the use of the phone’s built in excellent quality speakerphone. Speakerphones that sound good are rare and I particularly liked this one so now I can choose between headset or speakerphone when I press the handsfree button on the key phone.

The guides say use a plantronics A10 and a plantronics H-series headset to plug in the hole, but nothing more. Whats worse is that since it works with multiple keysystems, plantronics can’t predict how they will work together, so this review is a NT/Nortel and A10 and H series combo pack review.

Functionally the A10 makes a H series headset work like a personal speakerphone – it defeats the speakerphone in the phone itself, and functions that get disabled when using the speakerphone also get disabled using the headset which is why I say it acts like a speakerphone.

Also your phone’s speakerphone quits working when the headset is plugged in

And finally you must turn on auto handsfree as a feature on the phone for the headset to work (the LCD display will tell you this as soon as you plug it in)

Otherwise, it saves you the expense of buying a 100 dollarish plantronics amplifier and flip the switch all the time, deal with batteries or wall warts, etc. If you are on the phone all the day, its a great timesaver, but if you like your speakerphone, avoid it and go the amplifier way. You can still use the speakerphone that way!

My email is in my profile – feel free to write if you are also using nortel / NT equipment and have any questions about the headset. It sounds great!

A friend of ours gave us some of this cleaner because he knew I was having difficulty each time I cleaned my smoothtop stove. It was so great that I bought 5 more. It is $2.00 cheaper at Amazon!

  3. Kwong says:

This is all I use, and have been using for 5 years. No complaints.

  4. Killian says:

I got a free bottle of this when I bought my new Kenmore stove. It works great. I wanted to try something different though that would be easier. After a few trials, I went back to this one because none of the others came close to cleaning and creating a shine like this one did.

  5. Binnie says:

I have been living with baked-on stuff on my stove for years. Nothing I did would get it off. I have always had gas stoves before, so I wasn’t aware that there were special cleaners out there for glass top stoves. Then I happened to see the Weiman Glass Cook Top cleaner in my local grocery store. Dispite the $5.49 price tag, I bought it. It totally works!! My stovetop looks like new. And it shines!!! Worth the price – especially since you don’t need to use very much. The bottle should last a long time.

  6. Fraser says:

Works great, even smaller than I thought but that’s good – the display stays lit after you remove the package so you can use it for larger packages as well.

This scale is the best value and quality I found after shopping online and at a few office supply stores. It was $10 less than the post office price as well. I have used it for a few ounces up to 8 pounds and it is accurate and simple to use.

  8. Jenson says:

We ship out small packages containing books & DVDs. Having this scale saves us trips to the post office. Excellent value for the price.

  9. Garza says:

My previous scale had a “lifetime” battery, I learned that means about 5 years. I purchased this scale because of the description and other reviews. It is nice for many reasons. It is compact so it can be left out and not take up much room or it can easily be stored in a small place. I love the ‘hold’ button which allows you to put a large box on the platform, weigh the item and when you remove the item the actual weight remains on the screen for you to see. It does have an envelope flap so you can weigh envelopes laying flat or standing up.
When I first purchased it, I weighed 2 different envelopes that were questionable by .1 ounce (at the post office if your package goes over by .1 ounce you need to round up which can add up in postal fees). The post office confirmed the weight that the scale gave to me so I knew it was reading accurately ~ that sure was nice to know! No one wants a customer to receive a package that has to be picked up the post office because they owe extra postal fees.
I also love the fact that it has a power cord that comes with it so no more batteries AND I did not have to purchase the power adaptor separately ~ it was all in the same box!
Overall I would recommend this to anyone that would require a scale that weighs objects upto 10 pounds. If you own a business, it would depend on how heavy your objects are going to be! I cannot tell you how long it will read accurately over time or how long it will last, but right now I am very pleased with it.

I used this watch for 2 weeks in the outback. It was charged in the U.S. before the trip. Battery lasted for all two weeks on full charge, even though I kept playing with it and trying out most of the settings in Australia. Got signal even under trees, of course, no dense jungles in the outback. Temperature ranged from 35C (120F) daytime to 8C (44F) nighttime.

At home, in the temperate U.S. zone, did I not get any signal in my office building (30 ft from nearest windows, two stories below top of building. At my apt, did not get all the satellites since I faced only northeast direction. Close to the window, however, the watch received about 6 or so.

Had fun using the watch for those two weeks, but it’s so obviously built for men (non-flexible portion of watch measures 2.5″) that I’ll probably never use it again unless in the wilderness.

  11. Crain says:

I bought the X10 to replace my X9i which I was disappointed with since I’d bought it. The interface is identical as the X9i which is to say that it’s quite good. The main improvement is that the GPS receiver is so much better than the X9. I turned it on and had a fix for the very first time in just over a minute. On subsequent activations, it takes even less time. I’ve had no problems tracking satellites from inside armored vehicles while traveling in Iraq (when my eTrex wouldn’t even pull a signal!). The battery seems much improved as well as I’ve only charge it twice in the first two months. Overall this is a good GPS that you can carry with you all the time!

  12. Lamas says:

I owned a Vector for at least 10 years and am having to go back to it as Suunto has had my X 10 more than I have over the last 8 months. I have sent it in twice the last time in Nov for the case coming apart. First time button cover came off. Cannot believe I paid $400 for this. Makes me question Suunto.

  13. McNeill says:

I have recently ordered this watch after great reviews from friends. The watch does have a few flaws, such as the front cover plate falling off after a few months use, but if you go to the Suunto forums, there is a fix for this, I used it and have had no problems.

I have been using the GPS in MGRS mode and have had better than expected results. The track log is very accurate and downloads easily to Google Maps, which is great for archiving your movements. For the size of the GPS it is extremely accurate. I would never use this to call for fire, but definitely a great backup for hiking, emergency’s or just verifying distance.
